| ADOPTED!!! Suzy is the sweetest dog, which is amazing when you know that she's had a pretty rough life. We don't know anything about her early years. She came to rescue at approximately age 6 years after the closing down of a puppy mill/turned hoarder situation near Jefferson City, Texas. The Texas BC rescues reached out to BC rescues nationwide when 183 neglected border collies were discovered on a large property. They were all in terrible shape, unsocialized, thin, terrible coats, some were ill. Sixteen didn't make it out, as dead dogs were found on the property. Our girl Suzy is among the most social of the Texas 21 - twenty one dogs we retrieved from Texas. Her curly coat is adorable. It's clear she's been very overbred, but a devastating discovery was made when we sent her to the vet to be spayed. Three cancerous masses were detected. They were removed but are in a spot that is impossible to treat. It is expected that it will regrow, we just don't know when. Three months to three years or anywhere in between. We still believe there's someone out there willing to provide a home to this loving soul who probably never had one, for whatever time she has left. Will that be you? You won't be sorry. Suzy is just a sweet, sweet dog who deserves to know love. She is great with all dogs, loves to play chase, very quiet and is housebroken. Please open your heart to this loving girl. |
