About Me
ADOPTION PENDING!! It's clear that Mick was very frightened by his shelter experience and is generally cautious about everything and everyone at this point. His foster is working on his socialization and the key seems to be how much he loves to play ball. It's one of the times he totally relaxes. He is currently in a foster home in north Scottsdale. Update 01-24-10: Mick is great with cats. He likes ice cubes. Is very good on the leash does not pull. He is a worried boy so we do not think he would be good in a home with kids (not been exposed to kids but we are cautious about this for him). He has a thick full coat and will need regular brushing. He is very afraid of thunder and gunshots. Mick has learned his name and comes when called. He stays right with me when we go out and he is off leash. Loves to go in the truck and is good around the livestock does not try to herd or chase. Mick really defers to the other dogs and likes them but he would be just fine as the only dog (maybe better as he would really bond to his human and prefers that to other dogs or livestock). He does not like kennel confinement, but we're working on it. No food aggression takes treat from you hand very gently and plays ball gently ie lays the toy at your feet and backs up to wait for you to throw it. He's really a very good boy, who has some anxieties but he is very workable.
